This position provides manufacturing engineering ownership of integrated and tested assemblies for the project Kuiper satellite program. You will be supporting the production and testing of satellite assemblies.
Key job responsibilities
*** 2nd Shift Schedule Hours: 5:00PM - 1:00AM****
- Troubleshoot production issues in a timely manner
- Support and manage daily production operations and eliminate blockers and/or part shortages
- Work with cross functional teams to solve production issues
- Provide design for manufacturability feedback and drive positive continuous change to hardware
- Work with process, quality, and design engineers to continuously improve manufacturing processes
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
A day in the life
A Manufacturing Engineer in this role will be supporting the technician team by resolving any obstacles and working with responsible engineers to disposition non-conformances. This individual will work closely with engineering teams in specifying and building or procuring tools and line equipment for Kuiper hardware builds. The successful candidate has some basic experience in supporting production of space hardware through development, QTP (qualification test procedures), and flight hardware ATP (acceptance test procedures).
