This internship is located in Grafton, ND. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting Manufacturing Engineering with projects and routine Engineering tasks, such as: safety projects, time studies, bottleneck analysis, value stream mapping, layout updates, fixture drawings, and standard work procedures (SWPs). 

Highlights of your role

You will join an Engineering team, comprised of Manufacturing Engineers and Engineering Technicians, to help support initiatives across the Grafton site. You will gain an understanding of traditional Manufacturing Engineering activities necessary to support production, while also being given responsibility to perform tasks that will help you build your own Engineering skillset. You’ll see firsthand what it’s like to be an Engineer by giving updates, being a part of cross-functional teams, and participating in Engineering staff meetings.  Our team’s success is crucial to the growth and continuous improvement of the Grafton location. 

You're a good fit if you have (or if you can) Strong communication skills Eagerness to ask questions and talk through details you don’t understand Willingness to gain an understanding of the challenges to manufacturing goods Ability to apply technical skills learned in school to real-world applications 

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm. Opportunity for OT dependent on project needs and current business environment. 

 

You will also have: 

Access to your own workstation, including AutoCAD and Inventor software Responsibility for clocking in and out each day Updates, including final presentation, to Plant Leadership  Also want to make sure you have Pursuing degree in Engineering, or equivalent Past intern experience helpful, but not required  We invite you to See Yourself at Marvin
