Job Description

As Engineering Manager on the Ultra CEMS Senior Management Team you will take responsibility for the engineering teams at Weymouth compromising New Product Introduction, Project Engineering, Engineering Data Management and Central Registry functions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop & implement an appropriate engineering strategy across the CEMS business covering hardware, systems and processes to maximise the efficiency and versatility of equipment and peopleParticipate in the creation of the Organisation and Succession Development plan for engineering delivering recruitment, coaching and development of individuals at all levels to take the business forwardReview and upgrade systems used to ensure the correct delivery of BOMS across the business liaising with customers and design authorities as requiredEnsure the integrity of the engineering data management systems working to MOD requirements and aerospace standards such as AS9100 Rev CPlan, budget and deliver capital expenditure requirements across the business ensuring projects are fit for purpose and delivered on time and to costAs a member of the CEMS SMT help drive the business to secure greater efficiency, customer and people satisfaction as part of a learning organisation

Required Skills & Experience:

Candidates for this position will have already been experienced managers from within an engineering delivery environment with:

Broad experience gained in a manufacturing environment running small teams working to demanding standardsExposure to electronic and mechanical component technologies, obsolescence strategies within a highly regulated industry is desirableAbove all candidates must be confident in their leadership abilities, ambitious for themselves and their business and with the clear potential to take on a bigger and broader role in the future
