Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Ready to elevate your Manufacturing Engineering expertise? Emerson has an incredible opportunity for you! Based in our Tulsa, OK  location, you will improve the manufacturing processes, production layouts and material flow of our manufacturing plant. You will develop and drives performance of the manufacturing processes through continuous improvement to achieve superior to our customers. This position supports the Operations team of all production areas for product lines in the Tulsa facility in support of safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives. This position is responsible for the Manufacturing Engineer and Tulsa Technicians reporting structure. 

AS A MANUFACTURING ENGINEER MANAGER, YOU WILL: 

Assume overall accountability for the safety, production, cost and efficiency of Tulsa value stream(s) Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing documentation  Utilize lean concepts to drive data analysis and process improvements Work closely with Production Planning, Scheduling, Warehouse and Procurement to meet the Master Production Schedule and attain on-time delivery for all products Ensure that production tools, materials, and facility needs are met for the Tulsa team Make recommendations for new machinery and equipment in order to meet objectives to ensure safe shop practices Requisition supplies, machinery, etc. and collaborate with purchasing and finance for necessary processes Partner with and act as liaison with Emerson vendors for facilities management activities  Directs and assists shop floor personnel to follow all quality procedures that cover machining, welding and assembly of components and materials for Emerson’s tank management products.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering OR Manufacturing Engineering Tech degree   7+ years experience in a manufacturing setting High level of leadership skills and ability to build effective teams Understanding of quality system procedures related to machining, welding, assembly, and overall product quality Ability to transition product designs from product engineering to operations  Knowledge and ability to lead, support, and implement all phases of lean manufacturing 

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 

5+ years supervisory experience Experience in mechanical design, pumps, valves, regulators or other industrial equipment Previous Emerson experience  ERP system experience
