Key Accountabilities
This is a hands on manufacturing engineering role with responsibilities for managing a team of engineers as well as performing manufacturing engineering functionsResponsible for plant layout, designing efficient process and material flows, and implementation of machinery.Lead, coach, and mentor Manufacturing Engineering teamImplement process improvement and new technology to improve mfg cost, improve flow, and reduce the cost of poor qualityDevelop and maintain metrics for Manufacturing EngineeringOversee key projects that support the manufacturing processes and processes for new productsIdentify, development, and implement new capital equipment requests for the business that support annual business prioritiesWork with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering on troubleshooting problems and developing error proof solutionsProvide guidance and support during design reviews to address product manufacturing issues: process routings, machining capabilities, etcAddress quality issues, routing issues, and design changes that could affect manufacturing processes or machinesJob Requirements
Capabilities and Success Factors
Bachelor Degree, Preferably in Engineering, Technology or another technical related field. Advanced degree a plusMust be bi-lingual English/SpanishA minimum of seven year manufacturing engineering experience in metal cutting, grinding, machining, lapping, honing, and or assemblyPrevious experience managing direct reports preferredExcellent project management capabilities from idea generation to implementationAbility to identify, select, and implement new capital equipment into the facility to support business needsTeam player that has the capabilities to work with other functionsLean manufacturing knowledge with practical application experienceExperience with ERP systems – manufacturing functionsDrive for Continuous ImprovementAbility to work in fast-paced work environmentProven track record of utilizing sound problem solving skill set and root cause analysis as method of metric driven performance improvementsSelf motivated individual with the ability to lead/drive through the change management cycleOther duties as requiredAbout Regal RexnordRegal Rexnord is a $6.5B publicly held global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit and control motion.
