The Gogo Business Aviation Manufacturing Engineering Technician role focuses on supporting Manufacturing Engineers and Production personnel in the assembly and testing of Gogo’s products. This position will assist in the implementation, qualification and maintenance of Manufacturing Process documentation, assembly tooling and test equipment.

How will you make a difference?

Learn Gogo’s products and their manufacturing and test processes. Apply that knowledge in:New Product Introduction: Bring-up, documentation, and qualification of new assembly & test equipment processes Provide feedback on areas for improvement of accuracy, efficiency, and usability; this includes both hardware and software/UI aspectsAssembly and Production Sustainment: Management of existing production assembly and test processes, including assisting in root cause failure isolation. Conclude with a detailed report detailing the cause of failure and corrective action recommendation.Repair Station Support: Create and manage sustainment of rework routers and production ordersDeliver training to Production and Repair Technicians for NPI and Sustainment Manufacturing Test processes

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, a technical degree or equivalent work experience2-4 years of experience working in a Production Support Technician role, preferably working with electromechanical products Ability to travel up to 10%

Required Skills, Talents, & Experience

Proven experience with test equipment and process bring-up, qualification (MSA) and maintenance, including detailed documentation of procedures and resultsAbility to interpret electronic schematics, including inputs, outputs and operationProficiency in operation of basic laboratory analysis and test equipmentMechanical assembly and soldering skills in electrostatic sensitive device (ESD) environmentMust be analytical, able to deal with large data sets and have high level attention to detailSolid computer skills with MS office software applications and the ability to use basic data analysis tools

Preferred Skills, Talents, & Experience

Experience within a regulated industry such as Aerospace, Defense, Medical or Data Storage preferredTest automation knowledgeHas worked in an FAA certified repair stationSkilled with an ISO 9001/AS9100 based Quality Management SystemCan use an ERP system in a production settingFamiliarity with a corporate PLM for data documentation in Problem Reports/Nonconformances, Corrective Action Request, Engineering Change Requests preferred.JSTD and IPCA certificationsWilling to mentor greener member of the teamTeam friendly, and approachable. A sense of humor!Process-oriented with a passion for driving continuous improvement

Equal Pay Disclosure(s)

Base Pay:

26.92 - 33.65 USD Hourly

Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:

Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
