Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician applies manufacturing principles to develop, support and improve manufacturing activities in production assembly as well as new product introduction activities.

Essential Functions:

Provide technical support to Operators for existing production processes (50%)Perform equipment troubleshooting (20%)Perform equipment programming (20%)Perform equipment maintenance (5%)Perform data collection, data analysis and time studies in manufacturing processes (5%)Any other task assigned by supervisor or management.

Non-Essential Functions:

Perform tasks assigned to support Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth projects.Participate in Crane Business System events such as Kaizen, JDI etc.Assist in New Product Introduction manufacturing activities such as equipment program creation, fixture/tooling implementation & validation.Create and update manufacturing documentation such as routers, work instructions, process procedures, equipment work instructions and PFMEA.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: 0-1 years of previous experience in a similar roleKnowledge: Familiarity with computer systems and software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Basic understanding of equipment and machinesSkills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to operate equipment and machines (SMT experience required). Competence to understand and troubleshoot a problem.Education/Certification: Associate's Degree or equivalentEligibility Requirement: This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Additionally, as a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience writing technical documentation.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE.May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions, such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust, or fumes.Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary.Standing: 80% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work taskSitting: 20%*percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work taskLifting (in pounds): up to 50 poundsPushing (in pounds): up to 75 poundsMental/Visual: Use of microscope and computer.Workspace (line, cube, etc.): Production cell, assembly line, equipment, cube, lab
