Job Description

As the Manufacturing Intelligence Systems Manager, you will manage 1-2 direct reports and guide the design and implementation of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions across our operations. You will turn user needs into scalable solutions that improve and track our manufacturing processes.

This role involves integrating MES with ERP systems and plant automation, managing data strategies, and managing multi-site rollouts to meet business goals. You'll also build IT/OT architecture and work with technology partners. You’ll collaborate with teams like Supply Chain and Talent to drive success.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, MIS, or a related field, with 5+ years managing teams delivering MES solutions and 5-10 years in Project/Program Management and application development. You will have a strong technical background, experience with vendor management, knowledge of database architectures, and are willing to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally

This is a hybrid-based role which includes working 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) at our Butler, IN plant location. Relocation assistance is available for this role.

What you will be doing:

Manage the design, implementation, and deployment of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions using various software tools.Translate user and business needs into scalable, traceable MES solutions.Architect and integrate systems to track and improve manufacturing processes.Design data management strategies for MES integration with ERP and plant automation.Develop business cases and manage multi-site rollouts as needed.Architect network infrastructure across plants and create scalable IT/OT systems.Build relationships with technology partners and operational teams.Establish an IIoT academy to enhance digital and analytical capabilities.Oversee engineering functions including process development, training, and capital projects.Manage, train, and manage the engineering team to meet company goals.Manage and approve the Capital Expenditure Budget.Provide strategic guidance to shape the future of the engineering function.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field.5+ years managing teams delivering manufacturing solutions, including MES deployment.5-10 years of experience in Project/Program Management for enterprise-wide solutions.5-10 years of application development experience with a strong technical background.Experience managing technical teams and working with vendors.Strong understanding of database architectures.Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Management of proprietary and out of the box manufacturing execution systems and applications.Experience working in an SAP/Oracle environment.
