Manufacturing Finance Manager

Who will you be working with?

This role will have a strong relationship with the Plant Manager and direct staff, demonstrating leadership to execute and accomplish the objectives defined by the business. In this role you will also be responsible to generate accurate financial information in accordance with the local financial regulations, established policies and procedures, which will support the business’ efficient decision-making.

How will you make a difference?

The Saltillo Manufacturing Finance Leader will own financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting financial performance of the Saltillo Equipment Manufacturing plant, including $14+ USD million in functional expenses, $7+ USD million inventory and $20+ USD million in P&E Assets. This role will also support the operations team across all involved areas (Production, EHS, Engineering, Quality, Materials & Sourcing). The employee will be expected to drive operational excellence across the Freight Equipment business in Mexico while maintaining and improving processes and controls. 

What do we want to know about you?

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. (Preferable STEM or Accounting/Finance).

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Finance (manufacturing environment)

- Fluent in English.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, primarily Excel

- Knowledge of Lean concepts and how it applied to shop floor and finance processes is desirable.

What will your typical day look like?

- Lead the financial analysis, forecasting and reporting for the Arteaga manufacturing plant.

- Weekly reporting and analysis. Consolidate financial & operating metrics, analyzing key drivers.

- Identify risks and opportunities and help architect actions to accordingly mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.

- Partner with Operations teams to develop value generating & executable operating plans, and lead in the delivery of those plans.

- Provide business leadership clear visibility to possible outcomes through forecasting accuracy and articulating risks & opportunities.

- Support monthly pre-closing and closing activities.

- Identify and share best practices across sites and financial operations.

- Eliminate waste through standardization and consolidation of duplicate processes.

- Drive working capital improvements in AP management and inventory strategies.

- Lead project analysis for best cost decision making and overall return on invested capital (ROIC).
