Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a Manufacturing For Future Manager to lead highly critical and complex strategic projects within our European Avery Dennison SC&OPS Organization, encompassing business transformation, product optimization, and digital transformation. The role will require a close collaboration with multiple business functions and teams including within the SC&Ops organization, the commercial organization, and IT organization. 

Ideally located in one of our main locations in Europe and reporting to the Digital Transformation & ELS Director, you will be supporting our European SC&OPS Organization in the following:

Lead major manufacturing network optimization projects.  Work with commercial, supply chain, operations, quality, finance and technical leaders to implement key manufacturing transformational projects in the SC&Ops OGSM.   Collaborate closely with the Operation & Technical teams on improving asset performance and optimizing material flow through the implementation of physical automation and robotics. Build strong relationships with business leaders to understand business objectives and to collaboratively develop supporting capability improvement initiatives with long term CAPEX proposalsPartner with functional leaders in developing the long term Manufacturing Product Optimization Plan: Optimizing product manufacturing locations within our network to achieve the greatest benefit. Lead cross functional team in the planning and implementation of strategic product transfer, network optimization projects and complexity reduction. Ensure optimized Product Quality Performance & Integrity associated with these Business required changes. Work with the Digital Transformation team to create the future pipeline of digital projects to drive mid and long term improvements. Be a thought partner of the Digital Transformation Director to inspire the SC&Ops team in our transformation journey. Consistently benchmark externally to facilitate the adoption of meaningful technologies by our division  Lead the Manufacturing for Future team in Europe

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have a proven history in managing large-scale Strategies & Initiatives including more recent experience in Business & Digital Transformation projects. 

You have the ability to perform critical analysis of complex programs/projects including performance measures, controls and cost benefit analysisYou have an Engineer Degree and a strong background in Six Sigma/Project Management. You've had exposure to Lean Manufacturing concepts and philosophyYou have a minimum 5 years of experience in managing a team and complex project management and are able to work in a multi-functional environment .You are Fluent in English. Dutch, German, French  considered as a strong PlusPlease note that the job requires regular travelling.
