OVERVIEW: Pratt Miller Production Manufacturing is searching for talented individuals interested in the field of Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering.

As a leading-edge company, Pratt Miller is dedicated to maintaining a fresh and energetic atmosphere; one means is through our successful internship program. Internships could run the duration of a few months or last as long as a full year. Pratt Miller is developing the capabilities for low volume production and is seeking an individual with the desire and capability to use Lean Manufacturing concepts to help deliver our products to our customers. This individual will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects with the entire production team and will be engaged with daily activities as well as long term projects. The chosen candidate will find a stimulating and positive work environment. We require a creative and detail-oriented engineer who is devoted to learning and continuous improvement.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop process flow chartsConduct time studiesWrite detailed work instructionsSelect assembly tools & equipmentDevelop plant/cell layouts
 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Degree candidate in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial EngineeringBasic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing TechniquesProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
 

DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Vehicle and system troubleshooting experienceKnowledge of wide variety of processes such as Assembly, Fabrication and MachiningExperience using 3D CAD programs such as Solidworks or Creo
 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: In addition, the ideal candidate must:

Be a team playerHave great attention to detailHave strong verbal and written communication skillsBe reliable (with reliable mode of transportation)Have strong work ethic and pride in their workmanship
