Primary Purpose:

Gain knowledge and an understanding of the plants primary entry-level management positions. Attain a well-rounded knowledge base for better decision making. Acquire basic leadership competencies for entry-level positions.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Shadow a Continuous Improvement Specialist, Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Industrial Engineer and Area Manager within the business center and perform hands-on learning activities as directed. Learn problem solving and continuous improvement methods relative to that portion of the business center. Write reports to demonstrate knowledge of the plants manufacturing processes, the roles and responsibilities of the support functions, and technical knowledge of equipment and processes in a specific area. Perform a challenge assignment in each of the designated positions. Complete designated management and leadership courses for entry-level managers.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.  Mimimum 3.0 overall GPA required Must be geographically mobile upon program completion No experience required. Prior co-op experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to lead complex projects or teams. Ability to communicate effectively through presentations and written documents. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff.
