Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer Group Leader
MAU is hiring a Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer Group Leader for Robert Bosch in Charleston, SC. As a Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer Group Leader, you will act as the driver in manufacturing operations by coordinating maintenance resources such as spare parts, Preventive/Predictive maintenance, proactive Condition Based Maintenance, line downtime, and technician training to maintain a good working operation of our assembly lines. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Benefits Package Competitive compensation package Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance 401k and 401k matching Short and long-term disability Extended leave and sick leave Paid vacation and holidays Paid time off Accidental loss Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 5+ years of technical experience Experience with lean manufacturing systems and concepts (BPS) Experience utilizing problem-solving techniques to solve complex manufacturing issues (Six Sigma, Shainin, 5 Whys) Experience with highly automated equipment technologies such as robots, automated axis systems, press/torque technology, vision systems, and feeding systems General Requirements Project leadership skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet established targets Ability to work on a cross-functional team with a high degree of self-initiative Communicate and interact effectively including presentation skills and shopfloor associates Ability to read and modify tooling blueprints and design changes/improvements via orthographic drawings or CAD tools Ability to travel (including internationally) for equipment acceptance/buyoff and IPN activities Preferred Requirements Foreign language skills Team leadership and exempt mentoring experience Experience in high volume/technology manufacturing processes within the automotive industry Working experience with any of the following: MES systems (such as Promaster), programming languages, PLC control systems, or Tableau/PowerBI Essential Functions Lead TPM maintenance engineering team for the VM ESP product area (maintenance engineering, skilled labor supervision/development, and spare parts/ready spare management) Ensure highly efficient and effective reactive and proactive maintenance through TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles Develop training plans and provide training for repair/maintenance for Mechatronic Technicians and Process Technicians Develop spare parts lists for new equipment and manage project to ensure parts are established in SAP, sourced, and on-hand before “Ready for Production” Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for highly automated assembly lines, using best practices and benchmarking from plants in International Production Network (IPN) Create lessons learned and corrective actions for major downtimes Active participation/application with TPM Kaizen teams from IPN plants Plan and execute capital equipment (MAE) acquisition and installation, including participation in pre-acceptance/final acceptance/safe launch Lead daily management of area using MES and other analytics/data (such as MTTR/MTBF) to meet targets and derive measures to continuously improve performance Perform other tasks as assigned Travel International travel: required travel to Germany in the second half of 2024
