Manufacturing Manager

Role summary:

Establish the operational strategy for accomplishment of pumps program deliveries to our customers, in compliance with safety, quality and cost defined. Thought the safer and productive manufacturing processes and in compliance with our global corporate standards and best practices, international applicable norms que customer´s requirements.

Ensure the implementation of corporate and plant strategic plans within manufacturing and production structure in accordance but no limited to the following KRAs:

Safety, quality (Scrap, rework, FPY, Warranties) On time Delivery in hardware and documents, Past due Backlog, efficiency, utilization, manufacturing cost, lead time, cycle time, 6´s of areas, training and developing plans for operational personnel, career plans, continuous improvement projects, saving projects, capital expenditure, maintenance programs. Ensuring these KRAs are guided in the operational cadence through production meetings, daily management, Shop Floor Management meetings, logs, dashboards and reporting to direction and corporate.

Responsibilities:

Guide and promote permanently the purpose, values and behaviors of FlowserveEnsure the compliance of policies and targets of personnel safety and facilitiesGuarantee our products meets the quality requirements.Ensure the compliance of corporate requirements for the personnel in charge. Courses, certifications, performance process evaluation, coaching, reporting on time.Create the strategic plan for training and development for the production personnel, career plans and ensure the job positions are covered with profiles needed for the productive process.Responsible over operational KRAs, budget and forecast. Sales, manufacturing cost, manufacturing expenses, On time Delivery, Past due Backlog, absorption, earned hours, efficiency, utilization, safety, qualityEnsure the production plans meets the monthly and annual targets.Conduct manufacturing processes accordingly with safety, quality guidelines, corporate standards, international standards, and customer´s requirements.Full responsibility with staff and operational personnel in their performance, compliance to the internal rules and collective contract, policies, and procedures of the plantCreate plan of saving projects according to the excellence initiatives based on Hoshin Kanri strategy.Partnership on the global manufacturing standardsPlan the plant capacity to meet the backlog and sales forecast.Implement plans for the for machinery, tooling and software required for the operation.Coordinate with project management, planning, quality teams the activities to attend the customer requirements for the jobs on time.

Scope and decisions:

The scope and authority level are full over the manufacturing processes.In safety is full of the personnel and facilitiesDecision taking with the personnel is according to the policies and procedures in the site, has autonomy over the production schedule, process, and manufacturing methods.On the technical part has authority according to the current manufacturing procedures

Requirements:

Mechanical engineering, or Industrial engineering with experience proved in metal mechanical processes.Master’s degree or certified program in administrative or human resourcesMinimum experience of 7 - 10 years in production and/or manufacturingGreen Belt or Lean manufacturing certifiedFluent speaking EnglishProved manufacturing processes implementation.Experience in machining process, welding AWS, ASME, assembly process.Knowledge of API normsProved experience in negotiation with union workers.Saving projects based on CI methodologies.Transformational leadership, effective communicationInnovationCustomer focusFlexibility and changeTalent developmentEntrepreneurial mindsetBuild relationships.Strategic vision
