Location: Tavaras, FL SUMMARY Directs and coordinates activities of the fabricated products operation by performing the following duties personally or through team leaders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures. + Displays commitment to the safety culture by regular hands-on interaction with employees within the facility. + Provides strong positive leadership skills, including but not limited to listening, mentoring, praising, and coaching. Daily interactions to provide positive reinforcement, constant communication, training, encouragement, and inspiration required to sustain an engaged and inspired workforce. This is accomplished by leading by example and a strong firm but fair presence with the team. + Promotes generally accepted lean manufacturing initiatives and concepts plantwide including but not limited to: Visual Factory, Six Sigma, 5-s, continuous improvement, respect for humanity and employee empowerment. + Confers with the Director of Fabrication to formulate and set strategies, establish clear concise goals, policies, and performance targets for their areas of responsibility. + Leads, manages, and coordinates the manufacturing plant to achieve desired business unit results and performance. + Communicates company philosophy to direct reports and team leaders and cascades company culture. + Reviews production schedule to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations. + Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products. + Assists with operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications. + Reviews production and operating reports and resolves manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. + Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. + Resolves employee relations issues that may arise in conjunction with the Human Resources Department. + Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of manufacturing operation . Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. A.) required; and ten years related experience required.
