Manufacturing Manager
Johnson Service Group is looking to hire a Manufacturing Manager for our trusted client out in Wixom, MI. 
 
Responsibilities: Provide leadership and management of shop employees, processes, and products including, but not limited to: Manufacturing and/or assembly operations  Inventory management Environmental/occupational health safety Labor relations Continuous improvement (cost, quality, productivity, operational excellence) Product launches Facilities and equipment. Collaborate with engineering when design improvements are recognized during the manufacturing of equipment. Responsible for all safety related concerns within the shop. Oversee, manage, and maintain Quality System for manufacturing. Estimate duration of different disciplines to wind up with on time deliveries. Assist sales, aftermarket, and field with estimating. Administering and overseeing the headcount of shop personnel along with discipline to include areas such as: interviewing, hiring, temporary employees, terminations. Handling and overseeing all shop employees’ and any problems, attendance, or conflicts with others. Maintain a workforce for highly motivated employees with a morale that is conducive with performance being measured at or above minimum acceptable levels, drive performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. Manage the manufacturing and timing of all aftermarket work. Manage field jobs at times or assist the field with parts or manpower. Controlling all quality documents on projects from start to finish. Oversee parts required for completion of projects to ensure on time delivery to customer. Participate in troubleshooting problems in the areas of manufacturing, design and field. Monitoring all plant services and maintenance. Develop policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operation of shop. Works with staff, Engineering, and employees to develop capital improvement plans for the shop.
Qualifications/ Experience Required: Prefer bachelor’s or technical degree in engineering or manufacturing or related area. 5 years of managing a department or team of employees Some field and installation experience Must have demonstrated ability to manage people and projects Prefer 10 years of furnace building experience Prefer Skills in Lean Manufacturing and/or 5S Prefer experience with robotic welding.
