The Boeing Test & Evaluation organization is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join our team in Tukwila, WA. This opening will be on 2nd Shift and will involve leading a team in Tukwila supporting the Structures Lab, as well as the team in Tukwila supporting the Systems Lab. This is an exciting opportunity to manage, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of Mechanics and/or Electricians supporting Lab Test operations.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Manage employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
Acquire resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manage, develop, and motivate employees
Oversight and ownership to Zero injury and First Time Quality culture
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience working with collective bargaining agreements and an hourly union-represented workforce
1+ years of experience and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in house systems
1+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience
Experience with managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Manufacturing data
Machining background or experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or technical related
Experience working with represented employees, manufacturing operations and familiar with project management best practices
Familiar with Lab Test and/or Flight Test Operations is a plus but not required
Relocation:

Summary pay range: $103,700 – $140,300
