Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic team in El Segundo, California.

The Boeing El Segundo satellite factory manufactures, tests, and delivers component level and integrated satellite systems for both commercial and government customers. Increasing levels of business require additional management to oversee all aspects of manufacturing and operations in the unit and subassembly areas of the factory.

Position Responsibilities:

Plans and supervises the day-to-day activity of up to 20 technicians involved with the production of satellite hardware, and deliver subassemblies and units according to schedule commitmentsActs as primary interface and coordinates support across several adjacent organizations, including but not limited to production integration, engineering, program management, finance, and quality assuranceStrives to improve efficiency in the production and delivery of material to customers, both internal and external Recommends and implements cost and schedule saving initiatives Identifies and resolves conflicts which may impede the efficient operation of the factory

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

More than 1 year of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership roleMore than 1 year of experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higherMore than 1 year of experience working in a cross functional environment and/or business unit teamMore than 1 year of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environmentMore than 1 year of experience with continuous process improvement initiativesMore than 1 year of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $103,700 - $140,300
