About the role:

As the Manufacturing Operations Manager you will support the Manufacturing and Operations team to develop and optimize processes while driving a culture aligned with the Veralto Enterprise System (VES). This includes understanding value streams and promoting continuous improvement throughout operations, with a focus on our core KPIs: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.

In this role, you will train and develop the VES mindset across the facility, engage and train associates in VES processes, and ensure improvements are sustained. Your role will be pivotal in identifying problems, supporting relevant metrics achievements, and driving continuous improvements in the manufacturing area. Additionally, you will assist with the development and maintenance of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

This is a fully onsite role to be based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In this role, you will:

Drive VES Fundamentals and culture into the Manufacturing teams

Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Veralto sites

Support problem-solving processes using VES tools

Assist in monitoring sustainment of Kaizen events

Identify and share standard methodologies across the manufacturing organization

Lead projects arising from continuous improvement approaches

Ensure compliance with Trojan Technologies/Veralto policies and procedures, and all Federal, State, and local EHS regulations

Create and deliver environment, health, and safety training

Perform visual/operational evaluation of returned field components & assemblies

Provide effective support to resolve EHS and Quality issues, containing and preventing reoccurrence

Oversee facility repairs, preventative maintenance, and capital upgrades

Are you qualified?

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management and Production Engineering, or other Engineering/Technical studies required

3-4 years of experience in Lean Management (Toyota Production System), with knowledge of 5S, Standard Work, Daily Management, Problem Solving (PSP), and Value Stream Mapping tools

Gemba-based continuous improvement experience and familiarity with Quality Management Systems

Strong understanding of State Health & Safety Regulations and Workers’ Compensation

Proven experience in the manufacturing industry in a similar role with hands-on production exposure

Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with strong communication, facilitation, and influencing skills

Demonstrated success mentoring teams in continuous improvement projects while collaborating across all organizational levels

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
