Location/Division Specific InformationThis opportunity is located at our Oakwood Village, OH facility near Cleveland within the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). Our facility produces a variety of radiation detection equipment.
How will you make an impact?
Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position involves managing a team of skilled technicians in the assembly of several different product lines. This requires close alignment with customer service, supply chain, quality, engineering, PPI and finance to meet customer and business needs and timelines.
What will you do?
Champion safety and ensure team adheres to all safely practices and proactively addresses hazardsLead production team in meeting customer expectations, communicating order status, and coordinating labor and material availability with supply chain teamEnsure manufacturing readiness and execution of assigned products and value streamsDrive productivity and continuous improvement by applying lean principles within your teamEnsure quality expectations are met, and any issues are promptly resolved in conjunction with quality and regulatory teamsDirectly connect with customers to complete long-term projectsHow will you get here:Education:Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, or business is minimum education requiredExperience:5-7 years’ proven experience in a manufacturing facility and coordinating with internal functions and external customersPeople management and process development experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesOutstanding interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task and balance sophisticated and routine work activitiesFinancial and production forecasting and planningProficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and ERPAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 70,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
