Manufacturing Operator

The Process Operator is responsible for processing zircon through three distinct production methods: plasma, leach, and dry. This role involves handling incoming materials, transferring products through various stages of the process, and completing necessary documentation. The Process Operator must perform all job functions with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, adhering to operational parameters. Attention to detail is crucial, as the operator is responsible for the overall quality of the material and product being produced.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Awareness and Practices: Comply with Saint-Gobain safety rules, policies, and procedures. Follow internal environmental safety requirements for handling various raw and finished products/materials in the work area, as required. Ensure personal protective equipment is worn and maintained in good repair, as required. Ensure equipment and machinery are in correct and safe working order. Safely operate powered and non-powered equipment and tools used in job functions. Operational Duties: Follow work orders, process sheets, procedures, and other instructional documentation. Load and unload materials into various production machines. Operate various production machines. Perform operator maintenance on machines, including cleaning. Monitor materials and products through various production processes. Transfer materials and products. Properly complete required data logs and sheets. Perform quality checks on materials and products. Identify and report issues or problems with documentation, processes, or procedures to supervisor/management. Collaborate effectively in a team environment with coworkers and management to create and implement solutions to issues/problems. Obtain samples of finished products for chemical analysis. Package finished products and move them to the storage area. Maintain 5S housekeeping and organization within the work area.
