General Purpose:
Corsair and its associated family of brands (SCUF Gaming, Origin PC, Elgato, DROP, Fanatec) are looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support their Duluth, GA manufacturing facility. The Manufacturing Process Engineer role supports the implementation of all aspects of engineering activities and projects within the organization focusing on cost, quality, and schedule metrics. This role will help introduce and transition the Corsair manufacturing capabilities to leverage current manufacturing best practices, including lean manufacturing principles, automation, and new technologies to improve the consistency and scalability of operations. The role requires working with cross-functional Corsair teams located in the US to ensure that necessary plans and infrastructures are in place to support corporate strategic objectives.Position Summary, Responsibilities, and Expectations:
Practice Lean Manufacturing to improve safety, efficiency, quality, downtime and waste. Analyze production, identify trends for opportunities, and lead cross-functional teams to implement robust processes utilizing structured problem-solving techniques. Determine the root cause of failures and problems with equipment or processes. Create, write, and modify standard operating procedures. Works with the team on the details to define process capabilities, process instructions, operator instructions, control plans, and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare training materials and train key production employees and production supervisors on new work procedures and manufacturing processes. Enable data collection and reporting from various manufacturing systems. Create, improve, and maintain KPIs with transparent corporate reporting to ensure key stakeholders can see performance and that both strategic and tactical decision-making can be factual, and data based. Lead with a collaborative style, building bridges across both internal and external groups/functions to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing strategies, operational plans, and implementation of new processes and technologies. Implement and maintain 5S practices to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient environment. Participates and leads operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement and factory capability advancement. Team player who can communicate clearly, encourage, and positively engage with engineers, QA/QC, production/operator, maintenance, management, and office staff. Stay current with manufacturing industry trends and identify and implement manufacturing best practices across all sites, including but not limited to lean manufacturing, six sigma / TQM processes, ISO standards, factory automation and other technology solutions. Prepare and deliver presentations. High presence on the manufacturing floorEssential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or above. Minimum 5-7 years in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or operations-related fields Role is based in the Atlanta, GA area Working knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods. The candidate will be experienced in the use of statistical tools and methods for determining process capabilities, troubleshooting problems, making recommendations to correct. Excellent communication skills with management to shop floor operators is required. Self-driven positive personality, passionate, and independent person, who can deal with high pressure and a can-do attitude is a must. Hands-on and detail-oriented management style. Success in this role will require a clear involvement in the day-to-day operations of the site, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process building. Highly organized, analytical, and able to motivate and manage others. Familiar with MS Office software like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio/Project
