Manufacturing Process Engineer (Meltblown)

Under broad supervision, responsible for all phases of medium-scale assigned process or manufacturing improvement projects, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost. Implements process improvements to meet quality standards, performs feasibility studies and solves problems. Creates necessary documentation and aides in communication to personnel. Role typically requires between 3 and 5 years of experience.

Provide support to manufacturing thru the development of standard work utilizing lean production principles.  Incorporate new manufacturing equipment and tooling to consistently improve repeatability and production

DUTIES:

Introduce New Products, Processes, Equipment and Systems.   Ensure that all equipment and production standards are capable and repeatable.Design and integrate new tooling, systems and equipment into production lines.Maintain existing tooling and procedures and make recommendations with regard to repair and upgrades.Monitor processes to include data collection, analysis, and generate required reports and corresponding action plans to address identified issues.Troubleshoot product, process or equipment issues.Provide operator assistance and training. Coordinate with outside contractors regarding equipment and facilities issues. Provide Engineering support for lean manufacturing program, maintenance, layout, 1pc flow.Develop and implement yearly continuous improvement activities that result in improved yield and quality.Provide software support for all equipment.Generate new BOMs as needed. Develop cell layouts to maximize material flow.Make recommendation on part design for manufacturability and recommend improvements in design or part replacement.Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelors of Science in Engineering DisciplineExperience in implementation of Lean manufacturing principles  Working knowledge of Autocad and Solidworks  Understanding of current process controls software  Ability to work in a team environment  Ability to work in a self-motivated direction  Solid communication skills  Meltblown filter manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
