Purpose of Role:, The manufacturing manager is an integral member of the leadership team. This role leads, coordinates, and oversees the overall operation and strategy of the Finishing Dept, and the Receiving group. They will lead safety, quality, productivity, equipment, training, production targets, cost, and culture.

Key Responsibilities: 

Actively engage in safety improvements while building on a robust a culture of safety while coaching and modeling safe behaviors, respect for our environment, and 6S behaviors.Leads and teaches process adherence and continuous improvement by strictly following the principles and guidance of ESCO Process Management. Creates a vision for the depts. using process management and other Lean tools to achieve the future state. Directs continuous improvement efforts through PDCA problem solving, 6S, Process Management and other lean tools. Initiate plans and processes that minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital. Ensure process management  is in place  allowing the finished product to ship correctly and on time meets the specified quality standards. Ensure Receiving department’s accuracy of inventories for stores, consignment and raw materials through inventory best practices and required inventory auditing programs.  Actively participates in development of team members through regular check in’s, development plans, training plans, and involving team in CI and Safety kaizen. 

Qualifications: 

College degree with at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production Leadership role is desired. Equivalent and related experience will be considered. Experience in Leading an industrial Production Team is desired. Foundry exposure is a plus. Proficiency in using data and related analytic tools to drive best practices.Proven ability to coach and lead a team through adversity.Relentless desire to improve and grow your team.
