Production Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesWe are looking for a Manufacturing Project Engineer to lead modernization and automation projects for equipment. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing improvement, replacement, and/or automation projects for production equipment. In your various assignments, you will be involved in both the technical execution and the justification of the projects.•\tSupervise and coordinate equipment replacement and automation projects, ensuring cost, quality, and deadline objectives are met.•\tEstimate costs and conduct analyses to justify various projects.•\tProvide technical support for installations and participate in system commissioning.•\tCoordinate the implementation and startup of projects with production and maintenance teams.•\tContribute to defining the strategic vision for planning automation and equipment replacement projects.•\tIdentify automation opportunities and conduct technology watch to propose the most suitable technologies for the projects to be carried out.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automated Production Management (GPA).5 to 10 years of experience in managing manufacturing projects.Ability to work independently, take initiative to advance projects, and manage priorities.General knowledge of automated systems, robotics, PLC programming, machine safety, and other factory technologies.Knowledge of steel stamping and machining processes (an asset).Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English and French. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
