**DuPont Quality Manager Position**
The DuPont Electronics and Industrial Pencader Plant in Newark, DE has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Site Quality Manager.
The Pencader Plant is the leading site for this DuPont business, with connections and influences for our other business sites globally. The business sells products in the automotive, aerospace, electronics, and oil and gas industries.
The site is recognizing significant opportunities in improving integration and effectiveness of the quality management system (QMS). DuPont is looking for a change leader who can help drive this transformation.
This role will have responsibility for leading the site quality systems strategy and team. The Quality Manager will interface with functional and business leaders across the site to help set and teach the QMS and quality strategies necessary for the next phase of business success are understood and executed effectively. In addition to leading the site Quality team, this position also supervises the Lab, Packaging and Shipping personnel.
This position is required to be in-person at the plant 5 days a week. There is no option for hybrid or remote work.
**Responsibilities:**
Primary responsibilities are to manage the necessary activities related to executing and exercising the QMS are completed. This includes maintaining and improving the quality systems in order to meet all expectations at the site and of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (automotive), ISO17025 (lab accreditation) AS9100 and AS13100 (aerospace).
Expectations for this role include strong QMS understanding, strong people leadership skills including ability to manage a team and influence without direct command, strategic alignment skills and ability to smoothly interface with executive and working levels across the company and externally.
**Strategic expectations include:**
+ Manage and direct a cross functional team consisting of multiple disciplines.
+ Manage and coordinate activities between departments to meet product requirements.
+ Simultaneously set priorities/direction for multiple programs in development.
+ Consolidates input (performance, findings, internal and external feedback) on QMS and uses it to develop and execute on an improvement strategy.
+ Ensures site maintains ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, and AS 9100 certifications.
+ Maintains compliance to AS13100 aerospace industry standards.
+ Monitors and improves adherence to the quality systems supported by the group through internal auditing, tracking of compliance KPIs, and sharing results with site leadership.
+ Identifies and champions continuous improvement initiatives through disciplined _Six Sigma_ methodology and _Operational Excellence_ framework.
+ Collaborates with resources at other sites globally.
+ Help drive problem solving culture. Train and lead problem solving activity using problem solving tools as it relates to reduction or elimination of problems.
+ Networks with other DuPont quality resources to share and adopt best practices.
+ Manages a team of Quality Professionals and drives empowered and integrated work environment with clearly defined roles, goals, and expectations.
+ Implement quality culture and motivate people to perform and produce to the best of their ability with regard to quality.
+ Full-time on-site position (no hybrid or remote work).
+ Ensures strong ownership and back up strategy of the QMS and tools for:
+ Document management
+ Management Of Change /Change Review Board
+ Non-Conforming material process
+ Internal and external auditing
+ ISO/IATF/AS Certifications
+ Customer spec reviews
+ Management Systems Review
+ Customer Visits
+ Product Change Management and resulting action management
+ Minimal travel (<5%)
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
+ At least 5 years experience working in Quality position at a manufacturing location
+ At least 3 years experience as a people leader
+ Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 17025, AS 9100 and AS 13100 standards
+ Continuous improvement and project management experience preferred
+ Excellent program time management skills
+ Excellent leadership skills
+ Exhibit understanding of the cross-functional relationships between inter-company groups and the expertise required for project or program completion
+ Experience in managing business process development, planning and negotiations
+ Good communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to motivate, facilitate cross functional team members in an international, multi-cultural environment
+ Attention to detail, drive for results
+ Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams and Project
+ Leadership launching new projects following internal and Customer milestones
