Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Testing Team while also conducting testing and inspections during the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. The work model for the role is: #LI - OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Service Division in Florence, SC area.You will be mainly accountable to:•\tManage the testing facilities, including two distinct testing areas and any required temporary testing locations established within the Facility.•\tManages the test technicians including, assignments, tasking, and training to ensure products flow through testing in a timely fashion. Executes the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance.•\tPerforms physical pre-testing activities for newly developed products to ensure product quality and validate manufacturing processes. Assists the team in performing all required checks as part of the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) process. As Subject Matter Expert, engage with Engineering and Quality teams to update test procedures and processes to meet defined requirement using more efficient and modern methods and test equipment.•\tEnsures all applicable requirements, maintains test reports, and certificates that prove compliance with required and applicable standards, market, or regulatory requirements in line with customer specifications, legal or ABB internal requirements.•\tAct as local site Electrical Safety Champion and NFPA 70E trainer. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality. Inspects and troubleshoots any identified issues, determines root causes, and implements corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.Our team dynamics You will join a dynamic, talented, and high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience or associates with 12 years and HS with 18 years; or alternately a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments. Capable of reading and interpreting engineering configuration and wiring drawings.Requires ability to determine actions within limits defined by test equipment practices and procedures, and to select, reduce and summarize pertinent test data.Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, recommend repair and modifications.Operates in a fast-paced environment where critical decisions must be made quickly, and teamwork is essential.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
