The Manufacturing Scientist II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics serves as a technical expert for raw material testing and release, supplier qualifications, and supporting continuous improvement projects in MicroScan manufacturing operations. You will be a part of the Technical Operations team, reporting to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Science, located in West Sacramento, CA and will be on-site full-time. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Ensure timely testing and release of chemical raw materials and subassemblies for medical device manufacturing, utilizing analytical chemistry and microbiological QC methods.Lead supplier qualifications, shelf-life extensions, stability testing, and support process engineering projects, including technical documentation.Conduct non-conformance investigations for chemical raw materials and collaborate on corrective actions and continuous improvement.Create, modify, and maintain SOPs, SOIs, and batch records for electronic and paper documentation in an ISO 13485 regulated environment.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize DBS tools for daily management, process improvements, and problem-solving. Advocate for Danaher D&I values.The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in a Science field with 2+ years’ experience, OR Master’s degree in a Science fieldMust have experience working in a laboratory environment utilizing analytical chemistry skills such as spectrophotometry, HPLC etc., and/or basic microbiology laboratory skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) and ability to efficiently utilize various PC-based applications such as Oracle ERP system and electronic document management systems.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Background in microbiology with laboratory experience, especially in a regulated GDP/GMP environment.Statistical data analysis and experience using various tools for data analysis such as JMPPhysical/Environment Requirements: Ability to work in a BSL-1 microbiological laboratory, which requires PPE, including lab coats, safety glasses, and glovesAbility to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lbs, and other physical requirementsThe salary range for this role is 75K-85K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
