Manufacturing Shift Leader – Weekend Shift

Location: Plymouth

Salary: £44,000- £52,000 + 12% Bonus + Benefits + Shift Premium

Weekend Shift- Friday-Monday, day/night rotations- 32 hours

The Manufacturing Shift Leader role leads and develops a team of around 45-50 Operations associates to deliver Value-Stream Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and project initiatives under our Great Plants, Great People, Great Pipelines strategy.

What are we looking for?

Experience of line management is preferable, including development and disciplinary.

A strong communicator with a demonstrated ability to relate to all people at all levels, from various backgrounds and to confront difficult situations as required.

Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills by identifying and addressing challenges.

Ideally had experience in a manufacturing environment.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Oversee an operations shift team to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) related to Safety, Quality, and Food Safety through prioritization, escalation, and decision-making.

Provide line management for operations associates, including work allocation, crewing levels, training, and handling attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters.

Build and develop a high-performing team by coaching, engagement, and implementing Personal Development Plans (PDP) for people and team growth.

Coordinate business communication in the area, collaborating with management and support functions for effective messaging and feedback.

Communicate team initiatives, factory updates, and business debriefs to ensure alignment and clarity.

Collaborate on Continuous Improvement and operational expenditures (OPEX) projects, driving efficiency improvements and supporting team capability development.
