Provide on-shift technical support for manufacturing process focused on process stability and equipment reliability. Assist Manufacturing Team Leader with production system management and troubleshooting / understanding of process and equipment issues. Provides reports for technical issues and partners with operations, engineering and maintenance on troubleshooting and escalation.
Key Responsibilities Provide on-shift technical leadership and trains others to technical and operational aspects of the equipment. 1st level subject matter expert. Production Stability and Performance Responsible for performance on production lines and working with technicians and operators to preserve stable, high yield performance. Identify and resolve equipment issues, ranging from known maintenance needs to new, low frequency failures. Troubleshoot process and equipment issues with focus on meeting production targets Interpret engineering schematics and procedures Support job changes and production runs Support engineer-led process improvement activities from focused improvement portfolios. Identify areas of improvement or ideas for continuous improvement projects and implements with help from cross functional teams as needed Adjust process parameters within established limits to ensure process stability Proactively maintains line performance through process tuning and equipment repair/maintenance, as well as support engineer-led activities such as experiments and engineering studies Aid in creation and documentation of preventative / predictive maintenance policies and procedures Perform visual and dimensional inspections, calibrations and process checks Support production reports for shift turnover, data reviews, etc. Carries out work in a safe manner, wears appropriate PPE and gowning for assigned manufacturing space. Must be willing to support 24/7 manufacturing site and works on 12-hour shift (able to support all shifts as needed) in terms of mechanical troubleshooting and disciplined problem solving. Basic Requirements Two (2)-year degree in Engineering Technology or related degree AND 3+ years’ experience in technical manufacturing support 10+ years technical manufacturing support experience with proven leadership capabilities will be considered in lieu of education Desired Qualifications Proven ability to learn new technology and processes quickly. Dependable, highly motivated self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to lead and train others. Knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance systems. Strong communication skills. Glass forming, machining, electrical, Robotics and/or automation – technical expertise. Flexible and adaptable; willing to work outside of role to move the team forward. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Managements systems (CMMS) Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to collaborate across organizational boundaries and integrate solutions. Working technical knowledge of material science. MS Office; particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

The range for this position is $55,491.00 - $76,301.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
