Manufacturing Supervisor

Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. This job will make budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function and develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. (other duties may be assigned): + Ensure that departments within the organization reach production goals within budget and a high level of quality. + Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools and human resource requirements. + Determines work schedules and overtime, allocation of resources and which machines will run and resolves problems as they occur. + Looks for new ways to improve the efficiency of production lines. + Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects. + Prepares production reports. + Works with purchasing to improve the quality of materials from suppliers. **Education and/or Experience** Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a related field and 2-5 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
