Job Description

At KLA we design, develop, and manufacture high-tech capital equipment for the global semiconductor industry. Based at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Newport, South Wales this role presents the opportunity to work with innovative technology and precision automated manufacturing processes!

We are recruiting for an Manufacturing Supervisor (ATE) to join our growing manufacturing team. The role will be responsible for managing of a range of production processes in line with KLA manufacturing objectives.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Manage a team of Technicians and Assemblers, including being responsible for hiring, training, resource allocation, set priority & shift goals.Plan and execute production schedule – on time delivery while driving optimal efficiency.Perform regular performance reviews on team performance capabilities and development.Responsible for day-to-day technical work and manufacturing activities.Coordination of cross functions/departments activities.Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.Plans and administers manufacturing procedures and budgets.Ensure safety and quality standards are met, while driving for safety awareness and proactive behaviours.Ability to track analyse and report out performance.Involvement in structured problem solving - non conformances, manufacturing faults, quality events and process flaws.Perform and lead lesson learn sessions and strive for continuous improvement.Work with ATE or MDE to resolve issues with the products during the MFG processesPerform visual inspection under microscope.Use handheld devices (DVM) to perform basic troubleshooting.Receive Work Orders from stock room and ensure kits are correct.Work with Operations planner to ensure the WO release per build plan.Process rejected parts/assy. Through MRB and ensure parts/assemblies are replaced .Audit the actual products in MFG WIP and ensure they match with MFG database.

Minimum Qualifications

Ideally be educated to HND level (or similar) in an engineering or manufacturing subject or hold an equivalent level of experience.  Experience in a production/manufacturing team leader or supervisory position.Experience in coordinating and managing build issues and working with other cross functional teams.Knowledge of setting production targets, monitor progress and adjust strategies to meet deadlines.Possess strong leadership capabilities and motivation skills.Experience in motivating team members and encourage collaboration, able to handle conflicts constructively.Hold analytical skills to resolve technical problems and perform data analysis.Have excellent communication, teamwork, presentation, and people skills.Ability to plan and support continuous improvement projects.Familiar with SAP or MFG databaseFamiliar with verifying/check min/max. level in MFG databaseKnowledge in high volume manufacturing
