Your Role:

The Manufacturing Supervisor – Day Shift at the Lenexa, KS site is responsible for overseeing the activities within the production department. This role focuses on ensuring product quality and adherence to quality systems, as well as compliance with established standard operating procedures. The supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency and upholding the standards necessary for successful manufacturing process.  Job duties include:

This is a rotating 12 – hour day shift with hours of 7:00am – 7:30pm, and includes holidays and every other weekendProviding guidance, feedback, and training to staff while conducting performance reviews and establishing performance measurement standards.Achieving company production goals and safety standards, identifying and implementing improvements in quality and productivity.Maintaining and establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), auditing compliance, and ensuring they are current and accurate.Developing systems to measure and control production costs, quality, and efficiency, while approving overtime for subordinates.Confirming production schedules with the Production Planner and deploying resources accordingly.Assisting in the implementation and validation of new products and production systems and interacting with other departments as needed.Participating in the establishment of purchasing specifications for production supplies and equipment and controlling inventory levels to meet production needs.Identifying optimization opportunities for equipment and supplies and assisting with problem resolution.Interacting with customers during audits, investigating production-related incidents, and recommending corrective actions.Providing management reports and performing additional duties as required.Available to work off-shifts, weekends, and additional hours as needed, and should be capable of performing moderate physical activities

Physical Attributes:

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards, and vibrations.  Noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Life Science discipline2 + years of experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or other life science manufacturing

High School Diploma or GED3 + years of manufacturing experience in life science or similar industry

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including filtration, aseptic technique, sterile filling, and product packaging.Proven leadership and communication skills.Understanding of safety and ergonomic issues in a manufacturing environment.Strong supervisory and management skills, with a track record of coaching and developing direct reports. 5 + years of supervisory experience in a pharmaceutical environment
