Purpose of Role: The Melting Production Supervisor ensures compliance with all safety, health and environmental (SHE) rules and regulations; executes safety, quality, and production targets using continuous improvement, process management and systematic problem solving to uncover issues and drive improvement throughout manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Be instrumental in driving behavioral and cultural change throughout the site.

Schedule, and review workload and labor efficiently.

Assure quality and customer requirements are met utilizing lean tools.

Establish and maintain effective communications with department management, peers, and external stakeholders.

Develop team members and build technical skills appropriate to the functional responsibilities and expectations of succession planning initiatives.

Support organizational capability in the application of lean tools specifically 6S, Process Management, TPMs, standardized work, and rapid cycle improvements.

Experience with root cause tools such as; Fishbone Diagrams, PDCA, 5 Why and A3 creation for all process upsets and quality concerns.

Job Knowledge/Education/ Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles.

Related education is strongly desired.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on managing direct reports.

Experience in project management and problem solving.

Proficiency in MS Office suite and general computer skills.
