Cleaner/Packer

Job Tasks

Keep areas clean and remove trashKeep area dust free, empty vacuum system and operate floor scrubberMaintain 5S systems within the areasRelieve breaks for the PackerComplete all tasks in work area on the master cleaning schedule and document Basic trouble shooting of equipment issues

Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost Requirements:

Inspect, wear and maintain appropriate PPESafely use, store chemicals and maintain chemical labelingComplete all tasks in work area on the master cleaning schedule and document Assist the packer to prevent downtime and maintain exceptional customer service

Packer

Job Tasks

Obtain forklift certification and safely operate a forkliftSet up, operate, troubleshoot and sanitize the packer, supersack station, bag sealer, labeler and robotVerify the condition of the sifter screen and complete required sifter checksComplete all documentation including, but not limited to the check sheet, hour by hour sheets, sifter sheet and palletizing logMaintain 5S for their areaComplete all tasks in work area on the master cleaning schedule and document Basic trouble shooting of equipment issues

Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost Requirements:

Inspect, wear and maintain appropriate PPESafely use and store chemicals and maintain chemical labelingFollow safe lifting proceduresFollow all IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health) procedures including but not limited to Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding and Electrical Safety and Fall ProtectionAct as a safety ambassador, immediately reporting potential safety concernsComplete sifter screen checks, following “stop line” procedures when deficiencies are identifiedEnsure that bags are sealed and stacked properly on the pallet for good presentation to the customerAct as a quality ambassador, immediately reporting potential quality concernsMaintain good housekeeping and proper sanitationFollow quality procedures including the utilization of metal to prevent foreign material from entering finished good productsFollow standard work in order to meet daily customer demandTrack performance and work to decrease production downtimeWork to control spills and minimize packaging waste
