JR63579 Manufacturing Technical Support Engineer, Film/ Gas/ Internet of Things (Evergreen)As the OCT (Operation Central Team) MTE (Manufacturing Technical-Support Engineering) at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible to manage Front End FILM/GAS Material Specification & Technical Requirements, to establish a smart manufacturing system which enabled the materials change point correlation with manufacturing inline data with auto lot disposition and early variation/detection signal through IoT and data science to further harden the defense line of Front End Manufacturing Materials, and support materials Cash Cost reduction in Value Engineering (VE) to achieve Year-on-year Cost per Gigabit for Front End Manufacturing.
In this role, you’ll work closely with various teams, including Global Procurement, Global Supplier Quality, Central Process and Equipment Engineering, Technology Development, Fab Teams, and Materials & Equipment suppliers.
Strong technical and interpersonal skills are essential for fostering effective collaboration among key partners.
Familiar with Tableau setup and reporting, Sharepoint functionality, as well as SQL server knowledge will be valuable/plus points to the organization.
Candidates with Diffusion or Dry Etch fab experience will be advantageous.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Demonstrate the ability & desire to understand material quality as well as the risk mitigation process and strategies IQC/SQE/TD/Sites/Suppliers.Manages Material technical requirements and qualifications alignment with SQE & TD Team.Facilitate and lead activities related to Material Quality improvement with Global Procurement/Global Quality/TD Team on material issue resolution.Build close and effective relationship with TD, Engineering & Manufacturing sites, IQC, Procurement team.Collaborate to provide and improve Manufacturing Material QualityDrive global peer groups to ensure alignment on strategic roadmaps to achieve Area Material Quality objectives; monitor HVM quality performance through key metrics (Eg: %NCD due to materials etc)Ensure best known methods (BKMs) sharing across all sites regardless of technology and/or site mission differences. (Eg: Material BKM Qual, Defense line and Filtration strategy)Collaborate with manufacturing sites to provide inputs on materials requirements, roadmaps, and priorities for Procurement Team to develop Category Strategy development and execution.Engages early TD development for new technology.Collaborate closely with Technology Development Team and Procurement to ensure manufacturing sites material consolidation for competitive material CoO.Work with an international team of data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, process and equipment engineers, process integration engineers, yield enhancement engineers, R&D, etc. in a collaborative manner to enable Smart Manufacturing in Front End Direct Materials that improve quality, improve yield, reduce deviations, improve manufacturing cycle time, reduce cost, extend manufacturing capabilities, etc.Collaborawith IT and Supplier on data management, taking an idea, access and prepare necessary data, work with data scientists to build machine learning models, develop it to an application with intuitive user interface, integrate with any pre-existing systems, demonstrate successful use cases and wins, etc.Working with various scientific data such as equipment sensor data and logs, image and various types of signals, manufacturing process data, etc. to extract meaningful information for analyticsInvolve in workshop, and supplier engagement program to achieve Material Cash Cost Value Engineering goalsProject Management:
Facilitate and drive global peer groups to ensure alignment on strategy and roadmap to achieve area objectives with clear line of sight to strategic objectives and manufacturing big rocks. Drive alignment where it is known to demonstrate improvement in big rock performance.Prioritize and manage numerous projects based on Fab and corporate objectives.Manage priorities and improvements to business processes and existing systems that are global in nature.Maintain a portfolio of projects that enhances Return on Investment for the program and supports the Central Team and Corporate roadmaps.Requirements:
