**Job Title: Manufacturing Technician** located in Charleston **Job Description** As a Manufacturing Technician, you will operate various machinery such as winders, grinders, hoppers, and boring machines. You will ensure the efficient use of raw materials and monitor machine operations to detect any malfunctions. Your role includes quality checks, measuring and weighing materials, and reporting any issues to the shift supervisor. **Responsibilities** + Operate the winder, grinder, or hopper, or take product from conveyor and load the boring machine as directed. + Maintain an understanding of different types of raw materials and their appropriate manufacturing locations. + Monitor machine operations and observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions. + Check the quality of products. + Examine, measure, and weigh materials or products. + Inform the shift supervisor about product quality problems, equipment issues, and safety concerns. **Essential Skills** + Ability to operate, set up, and troubleshoot machinery. + Proficiency in using various hand and power tools for mechanical troubleshooting. + Ability to read tape measures and complete basic math. + Experience in running a production line and understanding machine operations. + **Minimum of 1 year experience in machine operating, manufacturing, repair, troubleshooting, and machine building.** **Additional Skills** + 1 year of machine operating experience + Quality control experience. + Industrial forklift experience. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers ample opportunities for overtime, raises upon permanent employment, and comprehensive benefits including paid time off. The environment is very clean and non-climate controlled. The shift schedule is rotating, working 15 days per month with 48 hours one week and 36 the next. Employees rotate between day and night shifts every four weeks, working 7 days on and 7 days off.
