Apply with CTG for this exciting opportunity!** CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a **Multi-Disciplined Technician I** . **Type:** Contract **Job Title:** Multi-Disciplined Technician I **Location:** Concord, NC _Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Concord, NC_ **Pay Rate:** Based on experience **Education:** B.S. or Associates Degree in technical/science field A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as: • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently • Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing tasks • Proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting **Description:** This position involves performing a variety of technical duties, including experiment management and execution, collection of data from manufacturing processes, data analysis, and equipment management. The technician may work with a range of personnel, including development, engineering, and operations teams, using measurement or customer data to help engineers resolve issues, improve manufacturing yields, and/or develop new processes or products. **Major Responsibilities:** • Works with teams focused on product and process innovation, cost reduction projects, etc. • Collaborates with engineers to develop and execute experimentation required to develop and integrate new processes & products into production. • Participates in innovation projects to enable new products, reduce costs, downtime, defects, and increase yields. • Operates measurement devices and collects data to support product or process understanding. • Trains and coaches new development, engineering, and operations personnel on equipment and processes. • Understands equipment used in key processes and interprets data from processes to solve problems. • Provides inputs to project plans that identify resources and accurate timelines. • May be asked to write process, product, or equipment documentation. **Travel Requirements:** • Up to 25% domestic and international possible **Hours of Work/Work Schedule/Flex-Time:** • Monday - Friday (40 hours) + overtime when necessary • Typical hours will be 8AM – 5PM, but off-shift work hours may be required. **Required Skills:** • Display a bias for action in situations of uncertainty, with proactive attention to issues and problems. • Work effectively within a multi-disciplined team and independently with minimal oversight. • Thoroughly completes assignments and projects to satisfaction. **Desired Skills:** • Experience with PI Processbook/PI Historian **Competencies:** _People:_ • Listening & informing • Patience & persistence • Attention to detail • Networking skills • Independence • Open to change (task, responsibility, project, etc.) as needs arise. _Business:_ • Action-oriented • Change agent • Time management _Function/Technical:_ • Technical curiosity • Safety, Health, and Environmental Compliance • Computer literacy • Process/Product Knowledge • Optical Fiber Measurement Expertise • Analytical techniques such as FTIR, microscopy (compound and SEM), HPLC, Gas Chromatography, and other instruments used in analytical chemistry **Required Education and Experience:** • B.S. or Associates Degree in technical/science field • 1 - 5 years of experience in technician roles • Mechanical/process aptitude with the ability to design/fabricate experimental equipment/tools • Knowledge and capability to run fiber-making and fiber processing processes and support equipment such as FTIR benches, microscopes, coating/ink purge and mixing equipment, optical fiber measurement benches, screeners, and coloring machines • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) **Additional Information:** • No third-party resumes will be accepted • Drug testing and/or other employment-related inquiries may be conducted • CTG will consider for employment-qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable local, state, and federal laws. • All interested individuals MUST be able to work on a W2 Tax basis (no C2C or third-party vendors) • CTG is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer • CTG is an E-Verify Company To be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly through our website by clicking the link below or email your Word version resume and salary expectations to **Jeffrey.Thompson@ctg.com** . **About CTG** CTG, a Cegeka company, is at the forefront of digital transformation, providing IT and business solutions that accelerate project momentum and deliver desired value.
