Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our team who will provide support to the production line with unit alignment, assembly, and testing.

Essential Functions:

Able to follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructionsAssemble, align, and test, systems, components for complex optics, laser, and night vision products following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational and cosmetic requirementsAbility to work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives Ability to complete fine/complex assemblies with small components and apply bond/adhesives potentially with use of a microscopeAbility to make fine adjustments while simultaneously monitoring computer/screen output of unit resultsAbility to operate complex active alignment stations and toolingAbility to troubleshoot and disposition basic failure modes of systemsAbility to use, read, and interpret oscilloscopes and other measurement devices/tools Knowledge of electronic, optical and mechanical assembliesIdentifies, utilizes, and performs preventive maintenance on tools and test equipment as requiredDemonstrate comprehension of engineering prints and schematicsReports deviations from standard to appropriate resource for review, instruction and authorization and obtains quality inspection when appropriateApplies considerable math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals--Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentParticipates in meetings and working groups to solve problems, communicate issues, obtain approvals, and maintains specific level of knowledge pertaining to new requirements or policies

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

Moderate computer skills (Excel, Word), interface with production testing software (LabView, MEData)Traverse throughout manufacturing floor
