Manufacturing Technician III (Maintenance) - Nights

Job Description

Shift and Schedule: 11 PM to 7 AM, rotating weeks: 1 week Mon -Thu, 1 week Tue-Fri

About this role

A Manufacturing Technician III performs preventative, standard and repair maintenance on process equipment and utility equipment, such as, bioreactors, water and CIP systems, pumps, agitators, gearboxes, bearing replacements and all mechanical equipment repairs.  Often assigned to design and come up with creative solutions to small projects and redesigns on troublesome components and systems.  Assist in training all of the manufacturing technicians when required and serves as a lead technician in providing troubleshooting expertise for autoclaves, glasswashers and other support equipment and off hours on-call maintenance coverage as needed.

What You’ll Do

Performs preventative and corrective work order maintenance.  Assists in troubleshooting mechanical problems.  Works with outside vendors to resolve recurring issues.Provides direction and training to Manufacturing Technician II’s.  Schedules workload with production departments. Assists in troubleshooting mechanical problems.Performs small projects as directed by the maintenance supervisor.  Attends training sessions as required.

Qualifications

This work requires occasionally climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces, moving/lifting test equipment up to 50 lbs. as well as working in clean spaces where gowning is required. Ability to stand for up to 3 hours at a time is also required.

High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years' experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or related manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

Perform maintenance PMs and CMs. Experience following SOPs and WI’sExperience with cGMP requirements
