Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) is a drug product & finished goods manufacturing organization responsible for the reliable delivery of Roche’s commercial portfolio & pipeline products. The Operations organization at HTO is divided into 2 value streams, which combine to produce millions of units of life-saving medicine every year to patients around the world.
The Opportunity:
Under the direction of the Process Unit Leader, the Inspection Technician performs a wide variety of tasks and operations that are required to support filling, inspection and packaging of sterile pharmaceutical products in a state-of-the-art, automated filling and packaging facility. Troubleshoot, maintain, and assemble all production equipment as required. Assist the Operations Specialist on major equipment overhauls, repairs, and installations as necessary. All operations will be carried out in compliance with cGMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), product recipes, and Genentech/Roche standards. The schedule for this position is Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts, from 3pm to 1:30 am.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to plant safety policies and procedures, perform safety and housekeeping audits, and proactively identify unsafe conditions.
Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Assist in setting up, changing over, and testing equipment; support maintenance and repair of systems; and participate in training other Technicians.
Operations and Production: Execute production recipes, handle equipment check-ins and material movements using SAP and MES systems, and operate various plant equipment related to formulation, sterile filling, inspection, and packaging.
Quality Control and Monitoring: Conduct manual inspection of vials and products, perform environmental monitoring activities, and ensure proper documentation for traceability and accountability throughout the manufacturing process.
Collaboration and Efficiency: Work in a team-oriented environment to report issues and make improvement recommendations, and perform cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a high-quality output.
Who You Are:
You have a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 to 2 years (within the last 7 years) experience in the operation of complex mechanical equipment used in the washing, filling, conveying, sealing, inspection and packaging of products/containers is
highly desirable. Target industries include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biomedical, electronic, and chemical, food, cosmetics, and/or other medical industries.
You are a computer literate, including the ability to interface with computer systems and PLC-based logic. You are comfortable working with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), navigating through web pages and e-mail.
Preferred/Desired:
You are a graduate of a two-year Associates Degree program in Electrical/Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
Work Environment/Physical Demands/ Safety Considerations:
Proficiency in the English language- reading, writing, and communication.
Must be able to work all shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), required overtime as needed.
Must pass all job related medical examinations and tests
Must complete periodic physical examinations to identify medical conditions that pose a risk to Grade C or higher operation
Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.

The expected salary range for this position based in Oregon $42,400-$78,800 for the Manufacturing Technician level. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
