The DuPont Towanda Plant is a highly leveraged film coating facility in DuPont’s Electronics and Industrial business.  The Manufacturing Technical Engineer role will provide engineering support to the products and processes on site.  The role description is to support product or equipment specific activities for issues related to the high-quality, low-cost production of the coated film or other products manufactured on site.

Functional Responsibilities

Develop capability to be subject matter expert for assigned products.Work on projects to improve yield, quality, reduce cost and improve production uptime.Assist in the resolution of process or equipment related customer complaints.Work with operations to solve recurring problems on production line.Recommend and implement upgrades to equipment that can contribute to improved performance, reduced cost of manufacture or higher quality.Recommend and implement uptime improvement projects.Work with Process Safety Management professionals to improve site adherence to safety regulations.Work with area engineers to improve Technology Packages for the site assets, including print upgrades, process to service interconnect documentation, and RAGAGEP compliance.Provide input to area standard operating procedures.Participate in the plant Process Safety Management committee.

Qualifications

BS Degree(s) in Engineering required; Mechanical or Chemical preferred.Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)Good problem-solving ability.Strong interpersonal skills.Computer skills.Self-motivated to identify issues and develop corrective programs.
