**About the team:**
Microsoft **Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE)** is the team behind Microsoft’s expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft’s “Intelligent Cloud” mission. SCHIE delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Teams, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform globally with our server and data center infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability solutions. **Work Location:** Taipei, Taiwan
As a **Manufacturing Test Engineer** , you will define the best strategy to implement for the company and determine the most cost-effective methods for running test processes. This opportunity will allow you to lead the work on root cause remediation with regards to systemic hardware and software/firmware issues found during manufacturing tests. You will evaluate test system reliability maintenance and service validity to determine how to minimize operational cost.

**Responsibilities**
+ You will develop an understanding of test hardware or software development and assists senior engineers in developing and validating test strategy, product design and methodologies. Develops and validates test strategy and methodologies with direction/guidance from supervisors.
+ You will assist senior engineers to architect manufacturing test methodologies, develop test framework/content and deploy the test solutions in support of technologies and subsystems used in Microsoft products and system integration product development.
+ You will develop an understanding of how to develop appropriate test processes that define "What, Where, and How" to test and assist senior engineers to ensure adequate test coverage to prevent escapes.
+ You will assist senior engineers in developing and maintaining documentation on process and procedures within team and with its internal/external partners as well as different dev/test phase scenarios and with their discussions with factory, new product introduction (NPI) and dev engineering stakeholders to discuss how they can integrate new tools and automation options.
+ You will assist senior engineers with connecting issues from customers/Test Data Centers and correlating that with what is happening at the factory level.
+ You will assist senior engineers in developing tests to catch manufacturing defects and ensuring reusability of existing tests and develop an understanding of how to adjust test utilization based on phase of projects. Supports improvement effectiveness and efficiency by removing non-value elements from product based on information gathered from process/test-system.

**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (Hardware) or related field AND 1+ year(s) enterprise computer, consumer electronics design or hyperscale supply chain systems work or internship experience
+ OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (Hardware) or related field
+ OR equivalent experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree (or currently pursuing) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (Hardware) or related field AND 2+ years enterprise computer, consumer electronics design or hyperscale supply chain systems work experience
+ OR Master's Degree (or currently pursuing) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (Hardware) or related field
+ OR equivalent experience
