Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
+ 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
+ Experience in embedded software or test automation with Python.
Preferred qualifications:
+ 5 years of experience in manufacturing functional tests.
+ Experience with developing manufacturing test hardware using electronics, fixturing, and instrumentation.
+ Knowledge of networking fundamentals in PCIe, Ethernet, and TCP/IP.
+ Ability to generate product-specific test plans and execute testing accordingly.
Google's custom-designed equipment makes up one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures in the world. The Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver this state-of-the-art physical infrastructure. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you’re right there alongside ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google’s infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Google’s infrastructure fit together perfectly and keep our systems humming along smoothly for a seamless user experience.
As a Manufacturing Rack Integration Test Engineer, you will evaluate the Machine Learning, Compute and Storage, and Networking rack product designs and create the manufacturing test processes, tools, and procedures behind Google’s Cloud Hardware Technologies. You collaborate with engineering and manufacturing cross-functional team members to determine Google’s infrastructure needs and product specifications.

+ Support manufacturing test development for new and existing hardware designs to support Compute and Storage, Networking, and Machine Learning Data Center products.
+ Define the manufacturing test strategy for new products and work with partners to develop test solutions, write test plans, and drive test coverage based on product requirements.
+ Develop automated test software for functional tests, conduct code reviews and debug test failures, and design, build, and deploy test platforms for Google's global manufacturing partners.
+ Analyze, troubleshoot, and root cause manufacturing yield issues and field escapes, and drive issues to closure.
+ Identify DFT opportunities, and document and collaborate with design engineering (hardware/software) for implementation prior to manufacture builds.
