Position Description
The Manufacturing Training Manager will directly support the 30 plus manufacturing facilities and key stakeholders to ensure that the training programs developed by the organization meets the needs of the manufacturing plants and is aligned with business goals and priorities. This role will work closely with the HR Business Partners and Plant Leadership to develop and maintain accurate role specific training materials, as well as operations and maintenance excellence. The training coordinator ensures the plants training plan is aligned with other training plans in Refresco NA and actively stays informed on local and state driven training programs and incentives. This position reports directly to the Director of Operational Excellence for North America.
Essential Job Functions:
Leads the North American Alchemy Playbook and Coach systems with Plant leaders and training coordinators. Project manages the launch of Alchemy playbook at new locations and onboard new training coordinators. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination. Provides training, direction and instruction and conducts performance evaluations. Provides guidance and training on work standards and expected outcomes. Accountable for planning and evaluating performance, staff training and development, recruitment and may contribute to pay recommendations. Partners with Operational excellence leaders to design, develop, and train on key operations equipment to build time to competency in all sites. Partners with operational and HR leaders to prioritize learning and training in all sites. Maintains accurate “Audit Ready” training records for all site employees using a group wide system. Work with site training coordinators to develop a best practice approach for the delivery of training. Develop strong working relationships with local educational institutions and tech schools to maximize opportunity for employee development. Work with plant leadership and plant training coordinators to ensure all new starts are properly onboarded into the training system. Work with the department/line manager to ensure that the correct Job Profile is assigned, and the training requirements are identified to ensure all key induction elements are completed before commencement in role. Work within the constraints of the training budget. Acts as a subject matter expert for training queries. Acts as point of contact during site audits for training related issues/update in sites without active training coordinator. Acts as Element owner for Training section in line with the site’s HSE audit in sites without active training coordinator Manage changes to the training arrangements, ensuring both course providers and trainees are updated of any changes. Coordinate SOP requirements for writing/amending/updating. Maintains NA training dashboards to measure progress in all sites. Monitor and review training course objectives and post course evaluation. Partners with sites to create an annual training plan to the site management team with priorities training to meet legal and business requirements. Follows all Health and Safety and Food Safety policies and proceduresRequirements
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Five (5) to seven (7) years of manufacturing experience required. Three (3) to five (5) years of training and development experience required.Required Skills and Competencies:
