Introduction to the job

Be in lead in FAB team as a competency owner to take over from LAB to FAB transfer from design to manufacture, technical issue resolutions during HVM phase. Minimize downtime on our tools and ensure 100% quality to our customers. Furthermore you contribute on defining the next generation of these products in close cooperation with the D&E. The FAB Operations organization, consist of departments Execution, Technical Support, Motion and Process Improvement and is organized by end-to-end responsibilities based on LEAN principles

Role and responsibilities

As a production engineer you present as competency expert to solve related structural issue in factory, you will be responsible to troubleshoot & resolve issues related to equipment problems in the sub-competences in optical and mechatronic issue. This requires a strong analytical skill-set combined with clear and understandable communication.

Technical competence: (1) Optimize solutions for specific problems in an innovative and creative way base on technical knowledge. (2) Analyze and select the best solution for specific problems from all known possible solutions, in an innovative and creative way. (3) Identifies gaps and drives solution, ensures processes are adapted to prevent (work) process errors from recurring.

Progress improvement: (1) Initiate and drive new procedures changes. (2) Prevent technical disturbances from repeating by implementing.

Team work: (1) Well stakeholder relation build up and management. (2) Communicate and able to co-work with across department levels. (3) Proactively seek out ways to reach beyond team and support others in accomplishing goals.

Education and experience

Bachelor’s Degree in technical science (Material Science, Physics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Process technology, Aerospace Engineering) or equivalent experience

Preferably 3 years of experience in a production environment with high tech products and complex production processes, preferably in both assembly and test environment

Experience in the field of Technical Production Engineering and quality methodology such as statistical process control and FMEA is an advantage

Experience of working under pressure and deadline

Experience solving complex technical problems by analyzing data and creating deterministic forward looking action plans

Strong communicator in English (both oral and written)
