HDR's Environmental, Operations and Construction (EOC) division is currently in need of a Marine Biologist to be based on Oahu, HI. This position will assist with projects primarily in the Pacific Region and secondarily along the US west coast. Will consider candidates who are looking for part-time or full-time employment.
Primary Responsibilities
Support Senior Project Manager with multiple projects from conception, planning, budgeting, field implementation to completion.Assist with project management and team support roles with our current clients and expand our client-base in the Pacific RegionAssist with conducting a wide range of field studies including data processing, analysis and reportingPerform other duties as needed.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Biology or a related field.Active PADI Open Water diver certification.Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting scientific projects focused on the marine environment including fauna and flora characterization, and impact assessment.Detail oriented to perform work accurately in a team-oriented environment and have the demonstrated ability to direct the work of others including subcontractors.Demonstrated history of reliability, strong work ethic, and solid time management skillsSelf-starter with excellent writing and communication skills such as writing procedures, guides, and/or studies.Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research skillsAbility to travel up to 25%.
