Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Marine Inspector specializing in Dredging and Reclamation with expertise in Rock work edge protection to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of marine construction projects, with a focus on dredging, reclamation, and rock work edge protection.
Conduct thorough inspections of dredging and reclamation operations to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standardsOversee and inspect rock work edge protection installations, verifying proper techniques and materials are usedPerform quality control checks on equipment, materials, and work processesPrepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, recommendations, and any non-conformitiesCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address issues and implement corrective actionsMonitor environmental impact and ensure adherence to local and international regulationsParticipate in project planning meetings to provide technical input and risk assessmentsStay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in marine constructionQualificationsBachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in marine inspection, dredging, or a related fieldProven experience with rock work edge protection projectsIn-depth knowledge of marine inspection techniques, dredging processes, and reclamation methodsStrong understanding of environmental regulations related to marine constructionProficiency in relevant inspection software and toolsExcellent report writing and communication skillsRelevant marine inspection certifications (e.g., NACE, FROSIO, or equivalent)Ability to work in challenging marine environments and adapt to changing project conditionsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detailWillingness to travel to various project sites within the UAE and potentially internationallyAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
