In this role, you will:
Lead and manage the day-to-day logistics operations of Babcock Canada’s Victoria Marine Warehouses in support of the Victoria In Service Support Contract (VISSC). Provide optimal customer service to internal and external customers, be the main point of contact between the Victoria warehouse and waterfront projects. Take on a leadership role in warehouse continuous improvement initiatives that support the business need to enhance capabilities and increase operational effectiveness. Own and manage project and corporate risks as they relate to warehousing and logistics in the marine business. Understand and manage functional area KPIs to ensure service level agreements are met. Champion a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the warehouses ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, local, and corporate safety standards. Maintain Babcock’s Quality Management System, ensuring process maps are current and reflect the requirements of the business. Support the Corporate Quality function to ensure all material processes and procedures for responsible areas conform to the requirements of ISO9001/2000 and BS5750. Manage the activities of staff including goal setting, performance evaluations, development plans, succession planning and time management. Perform other duties as deemed necessary and reasonable to support the business
The ideal candidate brings:
At least four (4) years experience working in a warehouse/inventory operations environment. Experience in material management for major equipment or in a manufacturing environment. The ability to work professionally and objectively managing multiple stakeholders, providing a clear focus and consistency in approach. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with subject matter experts, colleagues, and users. You are skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. You are experienced with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Experience with either Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) and Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS), would be considered an asset. A professional supply chain designation, such as Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) through the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) is considered an asset. You hold a High School Diploma or equivalent (College or University diploma an asset). You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
