Summary You will serve as a Marine Machinery Mechanic in the Business Operations Directorate of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY CONUS. Responsibilities You will maneuver small boats to dock and undock or come alongside other vessels. You will operate on-board radar, proper radio usage, and rules of the road. You will operate watercraft day or night under all prevailing weather conditions. You will install and operate electrical equipment such as GPS, VHF radios and radio direction finders. You will conduct test control operations and vessel support for Research programs. You will maintain inventories and prepare pertinent reports on work performed. You will load and maneuver small craft independently in situations of storm, reduced visibility, icing, and moderate commercial and small craft traffic.
